Black culture across America is so rich to me …trying to curate a collection of references to inspire the art is TOUGH, because we can’t do it all!

I was near this mural downtown recently:

Graffiti is incredibly beautiful to me and I always turn to it for inspiration. The Guild logo is inspired by it and I’m known to collect puzzles around the workshop that feature it. There’s something about the boldness: the bold colors, bold lettering, the largeness.

It really has something powerful to say about culture, and it’s nuanced. Our culture is bold and beautiful, and hopefully this project can bring all that flavor to the games style and aesthetics.
